THE ART OF GETTING OUT OF YOUR WAY 01—03
Your files are more
than filenames.
They're a half-formed idea. A place you want to go. The beginning of something.
Give them a little space.
A view that
make room
for the
unexpected.

unexpected.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Powerful. Not mysterious.
Search & Spotlight ⌘F · ⌘⇧F
Filter the current tab by filename, or widen your search to subfolders and Everywhere using macOS Spotlight. Wider searches depend on Spotlight indexing. Unindexed folders and network volumes may not appear. File contents are not searched.
Go to Folder & network paths ⌘⇧G
Open a folder by path, with folder-name completion. Use absolute paths, ~/ shortcuts, file:// URLs, or paths on already-mounted network shares. Connect network shares in Finder first. Direct smb:// connections are not available yet.
Tabs, split panes & everyday essentials
Browse folders side by side in split panes and keep more places open in tabs. Extract ZIP archives without leaving Voilà. Start browsing as soon as a folder is listed, while image dimensions load in the background.
Lab features & product previews
Illustrative previews. Lab features are in active development and off by default. Enable Collections, Pinboard and project integrations in Settings → Lab. The interactive examples and film on this page are product illustrations, not screen recordings.
THERE IT IS.
A little order.
A lot of possibility.
